Introducing Vision, Robotics & Motion: embarking together towards smart production automation
The trade fair Vision, Robotics & Motion is organized by Mikrocentrum and was founded in 2005. Over the past years, it has grown into the leading trade fair where you discover smart production automation solutions for the manufacturing industry. Combining a trade fair and conference, this two-day event is known as a meeting place where leading technical professionals, manufacturers, suppliers, service providers, and knowledge and educational institutions from the Benelux region come together. Since 2024, a new pillar has been added: Digital Innovation. This makes Vision, Robotics & Motion the one-stop-shop for the factory of the future.

How it all began
The future of automation solutions started with vision technology. It's no coincidence that the predecessor of Vision, Robotics & Motion was called Vision Solutions. This small-scale event was initially part of the Precision Fair and introduced visitors to vision technology. However, with the advent of machine vision, the changing use of assembly, and the rise of robotics, this event evolved accordingly. This marked the beginning of the trade fair as we know it today: Vision, Robotics & Motion.

The 10th edition of Vision, Robotics & Motion
On May 25th and 26th, 2012, the 10th edition of Vision, Robotics & Motion took place at the Koningshof in Veldhoven. At that time, this trade fair was still organized under the name Vision, Robotics & Mechatronics. During this anniversary year, not only were the familiar topics in the field of vision and robotics covered, but there was also a stage dedicated to related automation solutions. With the addition of technologies such as drives, sensors, and grippers, visitors were immersed in a complete spectrum of future-oriented automation solutions.
Emerging sectors for automation and digitalization, such as the food processing industry, pharmaceutical companies, and logistical developments in the metal industry, were discussed. This was also the first edition where vision, robotics, and automation solutions came together in the conference program and on the exhibition floor.

Celebrating the 20th edition
Since 2016, the new name of our trade fair has been Vision, Robotics & Motion. In 2023, the 20th edition took place on June 7th and 8th at the Brabanthallen in 's-Hertogenbosch. Over 100 leading suppliers from the Benelux and Germany showcased their latest developments and state-of-the-art, smart solutions in the field of Industry 4.0. During this edition, particular emphasis was placed on sharing automation and digitalization solutions that could address major challenges such as labor shortages, growing production demands, and stringent customer requirements.
