Last month, Wevolver, a community and platform for engineers, and manufacturing service Protolabs released the "2023 Manufacturing Robotics" report which dives into the state of the art in hardware, materials, and the future of robotics manufacturing.
This presentation highlights different chapters that have been covered such as the developments in materials and their sustainability. It explores the hardware that's used as well as the challenges that engineers come across. Finally, we examine the cutting-edge systems and technologies that enable the acceleration of the robotics industry.
After the presentation, you'll be able to get your own free printed version of the report.

A lack of the right data is one of the biggest hurdles in training machine learning networks. At Demcon, we develop simulations to generate and validate sensor data in a highly controlled manner. We will demonstrate some of the high-level concepts to our simulations, our validation pipeline, real world examples and the application to robotics development by providing an interface to virtual sensors.

Multi-sensor prism cameras offer significant advantages for color and multispectral imaging. Other technologies featuring color filters on top of each single pixel block-out most of the light falling onto the sensor. In contrast, multi-sensor cameras don’t block but separate the light by use of dichroic prisms: Thus (almost) no light gets lost. With the traditional machine vision industry merging with intricate measurement technologies; consistent, reliable, high-fidelity color and spectral imaging are playing key roles in industrial quality control. From this talk you will get to know the key advantages of prism technology in machine vision.

At a water depth of 3 km in the Mediterranean two large scientific detection systems have been deployed. One for looking into the galaxy for detecting neutrino’s and one for looking at deep sea internal waves. In this unexpected combination particle physics meets sea research. Based on low temperature superconductivity, Transition Edge Sensors (TES) is the exclusive technology for future X-ray mission in space. X-ray instruments based on TESs microcalorimeters
are non-dispersive imaging spectrometers, which provide an exquisite resolving power
(E/ΔE > 2000) over a wideband energy range, from few eV up to 20 keV or more, along with
almost 100% quantum efficiency. The detectors are lithographically fabricated in large arrays providing imaging capability or high count-rate potential, when no imaging is required. In this lecture, I present the state-of-the-art of the spectrometers originally developed for astrophysics research in space. Nowadays, they have reached a technological maturity level such that they are and could be employed at accelerator beamlines, synchrotron facilities and laboratory plasmas for a wide range of applications, from material analysis, low background particle physics experiments to fusion plasma diagnostic.

Bridging the gaps between helices to allow automatization firstly concerns the knowledge institutes, where there is a lot of automation expertise, but companies don’t know how to contact them. Conversely, the government has difficulty creating a network between the students and the market.
Core wants to show through their industrial projects what we can already do in the market, how we can help and what are the current technologies that could help the circular department.
