When you or your employer registers with Mikrocentrum for an activity, contacts us through a form, or downloads something from our website(s), we ask for your personal data. With this privacy policy, we would like to inform you about the purpose(s) for which we do this and why we believe we have a legitimate interest in it. This policy is in line with the new guidelines according to the GDPR and applies to all activities of Stichting Mikrocentrum Nederland. Mikrocentrum Activiteiten B.V. is the controller for the processing of data derived from this website. They are located at De Run 1115, 5503 LB in Veldhoven. 1. Privacy Assurance

Ensuring the privacy and data protection of our visitors is of utmost importance to us. Therefore, we take measures to secure and monitor your data against misuse and unauthorized parties. Mikrocentrum retains your data for as long as it remains relevant for the purposes described in points 3, 4, and 5.

2. Complaints Procedure

Additionally, you have the option to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
 

3. How do we use your personal data?

We use the data to inform you about our product offerings, improve our relevant services, and facilitate the proper execution of our training programs and events. This includes activities such as (automatically) filling in registration forms, creating badges, handling course logistics, and sending online newsletters and/or postal mail (with consent).
 

4. What personal data do we collect and process?

We collect and process the following personal data:

  • Your first and last name: We value personal communication, which is why we ask for your first and last name. Additionally, we use this information on your badge at an event and on the visitor's name list (with consent). For marketing purposes, we use your name to address you personally.
  • Your email address: We request your email address to communicate with you about the progress of an event. Additionally, we send e-tickets or invoices to this address and/or keep you informed about our activities (with consent).
  • Phone number: We ask for your phone number to contact you in case of questions.
  • Company name and address: We request the (billing) address of your company to send any correspondence by post, such as invoices. Additionally, we use your company name on a badge.
  • VAT number: We request your VAT number for tax-related processing and to verify whether a company is registered with the Chamber of Commerce (KvK). We do this because we find it important to communicate with a registered legal entity/organization.
  • Main activity of your location, interests, position: We inquire about the main activity of your location to make communication (marketing) with you and your organization as targeted as possible.
  • Size of the location: We ask about the size of the location to gain an understanding of our customers and to tailor communication (marketing) with you and your organization as effectively as possible.
  • Preferred date for events: We ask for a preferred date for events to gauge attendance per day and make the necessary arrangements.

5. How do we collect your personal data?

We collect both offline and online personal data to ensure the proper handling of our activities and to improve our services and/or marketing activities. Offline, this occurs when, for example, you hand us a business card, and we subsequently process your details in our system. Additionally, we process data that you provide on our website or when you register in person for an event. www.mikrocentrum.nl (and other (sub)domains registered by Mikrocentrum) places cookies on website visitors. We do this to gather information about the pages users visit on our website, track the frequency of visits, and optimize pages. We also track the information the browser shares. Online, we employ the following tools and cookies:

  • Google Analytics: Google Analytics monitors the usage of our website(s) so that we can optimize them. This includes page visits, behavior, and conversion tracking. The data collected here is not traceable and is therefore anonymous.
  • Google Ads: Google Ads records the number of visits and conversions resulting from campaigns. This cookie also tracks visited pages so that relevant ads are displayed on external websites. The data collected here is not traceable and is therefore anonymous.
  • Linkedin Analytics and Linkedin Ads: Linkedin Analytics records the traffic from our Linkedin accounts and posts to our website(s). In the case of advertisements, this cookie tracks whether actions such as registrations have taken place.
  • Act-On: Act-On is a marketing automation tool that helps us apply profiling to individuals who have identified themselves to us through their email address and IP address. Profiling is applied to individuals identified through their email address and associated IP address. The profile built consists of personal and role-based data, as well as web visit and click behavior. The personal data we may collect from individuals includes information provided through answering questions in a form or interactive content, such as a test. We apply profiling to provide our (commercial) communication as targeted as possible and, if possible, at the right time. This helps us enhance our services. If you prefer us not to apply profiling to you, you can make this known by sending a request to service@mikrocentrum.nl.

If you have not identified yourself through an email address, we keep your information anonymous. This is not linked to other personal information. You can choose to disable cookies by using your browser's settings. More information on these options can be found on your browser provider's website.

6. Processing of Personal Data

Only authorized employees have access to personal data. We address this through a rights structure per system and the use of complex, changing passwords for each system. We do not sell your data to third parties for commercial purposes. If you are not yet a customer of ours, we will use your data exclusively for marketing purposes after obtaining explicit consent.

7. Image Recordings

Photos and videos are taken at our events for reporting and registration purposes of the respective event. It is possible that you may be captured in photos or videos that are used by us during and after the event. 

8. Right to Access / Rectification / Deletion of Personal Data

If you are a customer of Mikrocentrum and would like to see what personal data we have about you, you have the right to access. If your personal data is incorrect, you can ask Mikrocentrum to adjust and, where necessary, delete this information. If desired, you can object to the processing or request to restrict processing or transfer data.
